LATIDO is Pronatura Noroeste’s Conservation Fund. Every donation directly supports the protection of four priority species in Northwest Mexico: the jaguar, corals, sea turtles, and Belding’s yellowthroat.
When a species disappears, it never disappears alone. The ecosystems that provide water, food, shelter, and balance for wildlife and people are weakened as well.
Conservation is built through participation, trust, and collective action.
LATIDO is Pronatura Noroeste’s fundraising campaign to strengthen conservation across Northwest Mexico.
It brings together donors, partners, and communities to protect the species and ecosystems that sustain life throughout the region.
Our goal is to raise MXN $2 million by March 31, 2027:
MXN $500,000 for each priority species.
Every gift makes an impact. Every donation keeps nature’s LATIDO alive.
The jaguar is the largest feline in the Americas. Its presence is a sign of healthy ecosystems with enough water, prey, shelter, and ecological balance to support countless other species.
Protecting jaguars also protects forests, wildlife corridors, prey species, birds, reptiles, plants, and the communities that share their habitat.

Coral reefs are the living foundation of the ocean. They provide habitat, food, and shelter for countless marine species.
Although they cover only a tiny fraction of the ocean floor, they support nearly 25% of all known marine life.
Protecting coral reefs strengthens sustainable fisheries, nature-based tourism, coastal resilience, and the well-being of the communities that depend on a healthy ocean.

Sea turtles connect beaches and the ocean through a life cycle that has continued for millions of years.
Every nesting season, they return to Playa Ceuta to lay eggs. Protecting them also safeguards nesting beaches, marine migration routes, and the coastal communities that depend on a healthy ocean.

Belding’s yellowthroat is a small songbird found only in Baja California Sur.
Its presence is a sign that the region’s desert oases continue to provide the conditions needed for life to thrive.
Protecting this bird also helps conserve freshwater, native vegetation, desert oases, and the natural heritage of the communities of Baja California Sur.

Because conservation depends on people who choose to act.
Your donation strengthens Pronatura Noroeste’s work to protect species, habitats, and the natural processes that sustain life.
Conservation is about more than protecting individual species. It is about safeguarding the ecosystems that provide water, food, climate resilience, biodiversity, and well-being.
When you donate to LATIDO, you become part of a collective effort to keep the ecosystems of Northwest Mexico alive.
Every contribution strengthens conservation efforts for priority species and the ecosystems where they live.
You can make a one-time donation or maximize your impact through a larger gift. What matters most is taking action today.
Because what isn’t protected is eventually lost.
And what we protect keeps the LATIDO alive.
Pronatura Noroeste carries out conservation projects across key ecosystems in Northwest Mexico.
Our work combines scientific research, ecosystem restoration, habitat protection, community engagement, and partnerships with government agencies, universities, sea turtle conservation camps, fishing communities, and tourism operators.

Every conversation creates a new opportunity.
Every partnership expands our impact.
Every donation strengthens conservation.
