On October 8, 2016, employees of the JW Marriott Los Cabos toured the Visitors and Nature Interpretation Center of the Cabo Pulmo National Park in Baja California Sur.

Thanks to their valuable support, it is possible to realize this work that will soon be ready to receive tourists with the aim of promoting a new culture around the value of nature and the inhabitants of the site. The Center allows visitors to reflect and learn what to do? in favor of conservation.

Colaboradores de la empresa “JW Marriott Los Cabos” recorrieron el Centro de Visitantes e Interpretación de la Naturaleza del Parque Nacional Cabo Pulmo.

This place is built entirely of removable wood and consists of a module for visitor registration and orientation, and two modules with interpretive exhibits dedicated to marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

It is a space that will be used for cultural recreation and research, providing biological and ecological information and information on the environmental services provided in the area, as well as cultural information on the historical background of the first settlers and the community’s recognition of the ecological importance of the site for the creation of the protected natural area.

Pronatura Noroeste collaborates with the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) in the management of Cabo Pulmo, a site that has earned its place in history as a successful case of marine ecosystem recovery. Cabo Pulmo was declared a National Park in 1995 and has remained a “No Fishing” zone ever since.

The Visitor Center will be open to the public soon and is located in the heart of the town of Cabo Pulmo on the main road.
