To commemorate World Wetlands Day, which is celebrated on February 2nd, Pronatura Noroeste A. C. published a call for all the inhabitants of northwestern Mexico to participate in the Plastic Arts Contest 2022 to promote greater knowledge, appreciation, care, and understanding of this important ecosystem in the region.

The response was enthusiastic, and we received participants of different ages with spectacular works created with diverse techniques. The contest was divided into four categories: Little children, children, Youth, and Adults. All the admitted works were evaluated by a jury of specialists, made up of Prof. Karla Lim, teacher and plastic artist; Melina Ayala, Plastic Arts graduate and artist; and professor and plastic artist Cristian Zuñiga, who based their opinion on the elements described in the call for entries.

Before presenting the winners of each category, we would like to thank everyone who participated in expressing their creativity and passion for conserving wetlands in the artistic exercise.
