June 5th marks World Environment Day, a date to reflect on the inherent commitment of human beings toward the environment. At Pronatura Noroeste we have dedicated the last three decades to reforestation, conservation, research, biological monitoring, supervision and surveillance of protected natural sites, focused on the pulse of conservation in northwestern Mexico.

We are driven by a passion for ecosystems and wildlife, with a far-reaching objective: that our society at all levels –regardless of origins or creeds, from childhood to old age, at home as well as in commerce and industry– acquire full awareness of the environment. This had to move us to fully understand Nature’s delicate processes and balances.

Our catalog of conservation activities includes the reforestation of specific areas of the Colorado River Delta, with the planting of more than 100,000 native plants; the promotion of sustainable fishing and the protection of marine habitat; the inspection and surveillance of the coasts and seas with state-of-the-art technology; the teaching of courses and workshops for students and teachers; the monitoring of migratory species in our region and the legal protection of 265,000 hectares to promote sustainable development.

This World Environment Day, we invite you to contribute in the fascinating conservation journey. Collaborate with Pronatura Noroeste by sending an email to: comunicacion@pronatura-noroeste.org
