In the arduous task of ecosystem conservation, we do not walk alone: the chain of commitment is built up by our conservation experts, sensitive citizens, producers, and socially responsible companies.

Corporate volunteering is an excellent way to strengthen this value chain. Any Pronatura Noroeste partner company can choose to visit one of the natural sites included in the program, where we organize a unique experience for them.

This experience allows employees to strengthen their sense of belonging to the environment, collaborate in activities that reinforce group integration, learn about the different species in the habitat and, above all, have fun during the activities.

Nowadays we have corporate volunteer schemes in a wide variety of locations, where we encourage visitors’ integral development, while companies promote their image in favor of the environmental agenda.

Arroyo San Miguel State Park, north of the port of Ensenada, is one of the natural sites open to corporate volunteering. It consists of a coastal landscape of 67 hectares and six kilometers of riverbed, and it represents a milestone in regional conservation since in 2021 it became the first State Park in the state of Baja California. At this site, volunteers take a scenic tour, identify endemic plant and animal species, and visit the famous San Miguel beach, considered the cradle of surfing in Mexico.

The Tijuana River, a highly vulnerable site due to urban sprawl and pollution, is another site where we welcome volunteers. This binational conservation project guides volunteers along an interpretive trail, where they enjoy bird watching and collaborate in environmental protection tasks.

Cabo Pulmo and Cabo Este are two amazing sites on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, with their unique geographic and ecological composition. With its 20,000-year-old coral reef, Cabo Pulmo offers participants the option of volunteering at the Environmental Education Campus.

A recent volunteer experience took place with the Fraternos Coffee Bar team, a company based in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, and Ciudad Morelos, Baja California. They visited the Miguel Aleman reforestation site, another excellent option for corporate volunteering. During the 5-hour experience, employees visited Pronatura Noroeste’s nurseries, observed birds in the wild and visited the “Garden for pollinators”, helping with the production of various native plants.
