The oceans represent the greatest source of life and oxygen on our planet. As a human species, it is up to us to be able to coexist and achieve development, without breaking harmony with nature. The inertias of civilization have raised pollution to gigantic proportions, with millions of tons of plastic and other waste reaching waterways, lakes and ocean waters.

To address this enormous challenge, we have been dedicated to ecosystem and wildlife conservation for more than three decades, in partnership with governments, civic organizations, schools, research centers and local communities. Stopping pollution in all its forms is a permanent task for our staff and experts, with a presence in the main natural sites of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa and Nayarit, the Gulf of California and its islands, as well as in strategic points in Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco and Colima.

In line with our mission, we have received and accepted an invitation from the United Nations Environment Program to join the Clean Seas campaign. Adherence to this campaign created in 2017, and in which 62 countries collaborate, was formalized with the signing and delivery of a letter addressed to the United Nations Regional Representation for Latin America and the Caribbean. In it, we confirmed our commitment to strengthen the environmental agenda in northwestern Mexico and help reduce plastic products that pollute terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

Some of the activities we carry out on a daily basis coincide with the spirit of the Clean Seas campaign, such as contributing to the legislation of public policies to eliminate single-use disposable products, coordinating cleanup days at natural sites, disseminating conservation, reforestation and environmental cleanup tasks, creating workshops, training courses and didactic material to create environmental awareness among teachers, students and community promoters, among others.

In addition, we participated in the 2nd National Feedback Workshop for the development of the National Inventory of Plastic Pollution Sources (INFCP), created to analyze the presence and sources of plastic waste and microplastics in Mexico’s marine ecosystems.

For all these reasons, we invite you to actively collaborate with us in the worldwide campaign “Clean Seas”.
