This April 22nd, we celebrate International Mother Earth Day. It is a date that allows us to remember the invaluable wealth that nature provides us daily and, at the same time, the risk of losing it. At Pronatura Noroeste, we place our love for the planet as a raison d’être, focused on conserving our region’s ecosystems, and fostering a harmonious relationship between communities and their environment. 

 As never before, we know that the Earth is our great source of resources and our only home. To love nature is not only to admire it but to understand that we will be happy as individuals, we will be prosperous as a society as long as we guarantee the continuity of environmental processes: from the marvelous simplicity of the water cycle, to the complex reproduction of plants and animals. If we do not react and collaborate in their conservation, the planet will lose its equilibrium, and life will face collapse. 

For all these reasons,  International Mother Earth Day is a call to action. 

At Pronatura Noroeste, we are the hands and hearts of many committed people to caring for the planet, with a track record that spans more than three decades. We work in eight states of the Republic in research, legal protection of ecosystems, monitoring of species, reforestation, supervision and surveillance of vulnerable areas,  and training teachers and students in environmental issues.
