With the aim of supporting mothers, fathers, and teachers during the quarantine period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Conservation Education Program prepared an educational plan with a series of materials to use with kids during this time.
The plan, which is shared daily through social media, integrates informative activities, arts, mathematics, readings, and challenges that not only promote environmental education, but also reinforce knowledge on the topic and the children’s abilities.
Using subjects like the marine environment and fishing or shorebird conservation, elementary education students can practice fine motor skills, critical thinking, and reading comprehension, which are the same skills developed daily in their classes.
In addition, the education team plans to host online workshops, so we recommend following the Pronatura Noroeste and Conservation Education accounts online to find out the dates and access the platform.
